It's the coaches job to get the players ready. This roster isnt a bunch of scrubs we had to piece together. We have some highly rated and sought after guys all over the field. This isnt a poor talent evaluation scenario.

There are thousands of HS players who know who’s responsible for a WR in motion across the field pre-snap. We’re recruiting at least 3-stars out of HS, so I believe all of our recruits had that knowledge when they got to LSU.

At some point they were coached out of what they knew.

How many of LSU starters on defense can start at an Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and Clemson?

I guess I'll bite.

Stingley, Stevens (as a LB), Gaye, and Logan would start for almost any team in the country right now.

Ricks, Hampton, Ika, Roy, Ojulari, and Flott could play on any team in the country and given a year or two to develop would be in the above category.

Farrell, Cox, and Harris would be rotational players at the very least at any school in the country.

I also believe that Cox is one of the players hurt the worst by the defensive confusion. He clearly has good instincts and on the rare plays where he trusts his instincts instead of being bogged down by all the thinking that Bo is trying to make him do, he shows flashes of brilliance.

The parts are there, we just have to get them to stop thinking and to fly around.

There is absolutely no way Aranda wouldn’t of made adjustments at half. Bo shows zero ability to adapt during the game.

neither season to season...after his first the O coaches adjusted and he started his downward tendency...nothing left in the tank.
Especially obvious for passing offenses.

I agree On 3/4 but what’s Logan done to make you think that?

I guess you are right about him, he should be in the Farrell Cox category.

I was thinking multi year starter would start elsewhere but honestly I have always thought Farrell was the better player.

I actually Think Cox would start on a lot of teams.

Maybe not the best of the best but he’s good. I think Missouri did a lot to take our LBs out of position.

I’m curious as to why you would start a thread like this. It’s absurd that you think the defensive coordinator shouldn’t be held responsible for the performance of the defense. They haven’t just been subpar. They have been as bad as I’ve ever seen at LSU. We have players that everyone wanted. There is no excuse so stop with this horse shite.

I am not saying that this is false, I would just like to see what his defense looks like if he can get everyone to understand what they need to do.

If he cant get everyone on the same page after the past 2 weeks of practice then there is no hope of seeing what his defense would actually look like and he should be fired.

This bullshite again???

Look, if it was just one or two players playing like shite then we might agree.

But when all 11 guys look slow, lost and unprepared that is a coaching problem.

So players like Stevens, Stingley, Flott, Ferrell and Hampton whom were all great last year are all of a sudden underperforming and yet it has nothing to do with the D coordinator???

You must have not thought this thread out well in your head.

Do y’all realize that we have the least amount of players on scholarship in the SEC? That’s not a problem?
