For someone to do it for you $1500-$3500. Depends on the size of the vehicle.

There are coatings you can do yourself as well if you are willing to spend the time to prep.

Wash, decontaminate for Iron, clay bar, polish, then coat.

when my 2011 truck was new, every 6mo-ish for 2 years.

never since then. looks fine when it's clean. waxing is a lot of work for not a lot of results. I'd venture to guess the modern paint compounds are better suited to last longer without it.

look at mid 90's-2005ish model cars that got all that oxidation from sitting outside. newer ones don't seem to do that.

I have a unlimited plan that has some quick liquid wax included in it. Not sure you can even call it wax. I think it’s more of a progressive wax approach. Does it last? No. If you’re going 2-3 times a week it will provide adequate protection for the paint.

About once a year. In between, I wash with water only so the wax job really holds up well.

My 4.5 year old car has never been waxed. Looks like new.

It does have the Invisible-Mask/rock-guard film on the front of the hood, under door handles, etc., and it really helps protect it. The front of my prior car looked sandblasted from all the nicks caused by rocks and crap on our roads.

Maybe once during the summer, because its too hot outside.

From October to April, once a month.

It’s a black Merc and it’s worth the effort. I like looking at it for like 10 minutes after I’m done. Making sure all the wax is buffed. Feels good. Sorta like when you admire you’re yard after you’ve mowed it and edged it and it looks great.

I got my car in 2011, it’s an ‘09, and I have waxed it once, way back when. I detail the inside, but IDGAF about the outside.
