TL;DR a bot posted on reddit and passed as human for a week before it got found out. It got discovered not because it's posts were bad/robotic, but because it was posting too many deep, well thought out posts too often to be human.

Bot posing as human fooled people on Reddit for an entire week
An advanced artificial intelligence was able to post to Reddit and interact with other users for more than a week before anyone realised it was a bot.
The AI posed as a human user under the username ‘thegentlemetre’, posting to Q&A forums AskReddit and AskScience on subjects ranging from suicide to “hot milfs”. Some of the posts received hundreds of upvotes, including one about homeless people living in elevator shafts.
...It was only found out when one Reddit user noted the output and length of thegentlemetre’s posts. “How does this user post so many large, deep posts so rapidly,” the user asked.
Software engineer Philip Winston investigated the suspicious activity and concluded that the bot used the GPT-3 language model developed by OpenAI, an artificial intelligence startup co-founded by Elon Musk.

The first thing to look for is the ones that know how to use the right form of there/their/they're.

Terminator will absolutely be a reality. But they won’t be so barbaric. they’ll be sophisticated and we won’t ever know that eventually everyone will be robots.

Anyone ever watch the original version (1956) of Invasion of the Body Snatchers?
That shite was on-point.

The difference between fewer and less trips up a lot of posters.

None of his posts are deep and well thought out. It’s a dumpster of random top 10 lists that maybe 4 people care about.

God I hate Reddit.
I used to love it.
I still go to it, but I subscribe to 4 subreddits and stay off r/all. It's way better, but even then I see myself getting fed up with threads that have one viewpoint pushed to the top, and anyone who dissents has their comments literally hidden at the bottom.
It's a great place for info, but don't dare deviate from the narrative. Don't you dare.

It’s best to post quips and insults when posing as a human. The average male attention span is about three sentences.

Yahoo and HuffPost article writers are salivating at the idea. Flood Reddit and Twitter with AI generated politically charged garbage, then write a article about it.

Y'all know I'm human. I'm too dumb to be a robot.

In case my employer reads this board, Windshieldman is a bot

Same here, how hard would it be for a bot to go undetected on Reddit as long as it went along with their overall narrative?

Oweo has wheels so he is already part bot
