The ghost of Al Davis just have compelled Gruden to take Henry Ruggs 30 picks too early then.

I guess I forgot to include Houston in teams who could pass on Burrow. But like anyone else, they would just trade the pick.

BoB is such an amazing GM that he was able to predict this dilemma and traded his 1st round pick away the year before so he wouldn't have to deal with this situation.

Dolphins have the Texans #1 pick. I doubt they take Trevor with Tua

How do you explain 54% against Ohio State and 48% against LSU. And 60% or less against Ga Tech, Syracuse, and NC last year.

How do you explain 350 yards, and 3 TDs against Alabama. In the National Championship. As a true freshman.

Ruggs was a lock for the top 20. Everyone had him, Jeudy, and Lamb as the top 3 WR picks in some order.

No one on this planet had Damon Arnette down as a first rounder.

Ruggs was 3rd on every projection. 4th on some behind Higgins.

Davis would have jumped at the opportunity to take Ruggs as the number 1 WR. I guess they were just paying homage to his bad decisions.

KC - pass
LV - pass
SD (not LA!) - pass
LAR - pass
MIA - push trending towards pick, Tua ain't the future

NO - pick
NYG - pick
NYJ - LOL uh...pick
PHI - pass
PIT - pick
SF - pass

They definitely would take Lawrence, but they’ll be working on an extension for Cam this offseason first thing.

This would be a very interesting case study. I think Houston would make the pick and trade Watson. They have no draft picks and a giant Watson extension would kill their ability to bring in free agents.

If they shop Watson around this offseason, there would be no shortage of interested teams.

100% agree. I'll admit I haven't watched much Houston football, but I think Watson could shine in a functional organization. Pat McAfee was talking yesterday about no matter how good a guy (Watson) is, if the GM didn't draft him, then there is almost no loyalty there. Houston could really top off the list of boneheaded moves by ditching Watson, which may be exactly what happens when the new GM comes in to clean house.

Imagine this time last year telling someone that Hopkins, BOB, and potentially Watson would all be gone from Houston.

I mean, you could get a ton od picks for trading that spot. Broncos should do that, and get a few 1st and 2nd rounds next year.

If they're picking #1 overall, I wouldn't be at all surprised. They would be able to reset their QB rookie deal timeline. The new GM would have the ability to dangle both Watson and Lawrence and then see what gets offered for each.

If someone offers multiple 1sts and other mid round picks for Watson, I bet they would take it because Lawrence on a rookie deal has to sound really appealing for a team that doesn't have many ways to build a roster right now.

Pats on line one

The Texans won’t get that first pick tho. Watson will drag them to 6 wins
