Was looking to go to Yosemite but from what i'm reading a lot of things are closed there in April. Any ideas?

Friend,
Many of the national parks in the West are still filled with snow in April. A notable exception that you would want to consider is the Grand Canyon. Hiking it and staying at the Phantom Ranch for a couple of nights should be on every true traveler’s agenda at some point.
I am a big fan of the Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina in April and May, which I think are the two best months to stay there. I refuse to share which town we most frequently visit, for fear it becomes overrun with tourists. I will say that the Grove Park Inn is a fabulous resort, perhaps the best all around resort in the South. Having said that, the Inn at Biltmore, just 15 minutes south, has better accommodations.
Yours,

Azores. The Hawaii of the Atlantic but much less expensive.

What about the Asheville area? Never been but seems to fit the bill for good drinks/food/outdoors.

One of my favorite places, but in April? I haven't been at that time of year, but my understanding is that it's chilly and rainy.

We went to Sedona for ours this past February and it was great. I would imagine that the weather is fantastic in April. Stay at Enchantment.

Domestic or abroad OP? I’d consider Europe if you can be patient.
April is a tough time of year because it could be cold or could be hot many places.
If you head north you can likely catch good snow.

Arizona. Grand Canyon. Sedona.
Oregon coast is beautiful if your looking for some nice relaxation. Rent a air bnb plus some mountains close by. It’s different than the gulf coast beaches.

April man....the counties that receive the most rain are on the coast.
Eta....if I went to Oregon in April I would go to Central Oregon and play in the snow.
Cabin with mountain views and a hot tub. That area gets lots of sun and little rain.

Most likely domestic. Unless prices are gouged because of the virus. Plus lots of foreign places arent letting US citizens in. I personally am not scared of the virus so I would go anywhere.
