Most of these guys aren’t found? They are known commodities. We aren’t talking about a butler university hiring brad stevans off the street. You hire someone who is doing something in basketball with extensive experience. By being a fan you would know the commodities that are building around the league.. like nick nurse assistant and Sam cassell are soon to be head coaches. The nba is a small circle everyone generally knows everyone

D'Antoni is a MUCH better coach than this board and the internet in general gives him credit for.
His teams play better D than people realize, and in general, his teams win a decent amount of games. He's a really smart guy. We could do a lot worse.
But I don't think he's going to be a candidate here.

I agree that he is an overall solid coach. I'm worried that our team starting with Zion and BI are very different pieces to build on compared to what he has had in the past. He also worked close with Bzdelik (who we didn't have in the bubble fyi) so I wouldn't be super suprised. I'm just worried he will make drastic changes like small ball lineups.
At this point I'd just rather an Xs and Os mastermind who hasn't had the chance to fully create or run their system. I'm more hesitant about these long term head coaches that like their specific team builds.

There we go!! I'm not hiring Stack or Udoka for a while... but that's my opinion. If you think Craig, JR, or Ham could get the job done that's the best argument i've heard
