My master plan was for the Big Ten to invite Oklahoma and Kansas to get to 16. Not anymore. As attractive as Oklahoma is Kansas isn't even slump buster worthy. Hard pass. Besides, we've already got Rutgers. Woof.

Who would they get that would do a better job?
I thought he showed a willingness to try new things with the offense last season and has some name recognition to recruit with.

Have you looked at LSU QBs under Miles sans Jimbo? It may go back further than when Les arrived at Kansas, but that's like throwing gas on a forrest fire

KU sucks regardless of who is coaching there. Place is a shithole for a FB program... and I went to school there. Alumni base is wealthy, but nobody knows anything or cares about football. Kids are soft and all the blue collar kids in the state go to KSU. It's like a softer much less talented version of UT.
That said, Lawrence is a beautiful place. Lived in Lawrence for 3 years while working in Topeka. Used to run into Les all the time getting coffee during the offseason wearing LSU gear. We'd always chat for a bit.

He’ll get 4-5 years no matter what. They look downright bad this year, which makes sense because of how many seniors they lost from a 3-9 team.
They are playing a lot of young guys (freshmen/sophomores) this year in hopes the experience will make them better in two years. The problem is those players don’t have the talent and would need to make insane jumps for it to pan out.
