At this point, it’s clear to me that Griff and co don’t want an unproven assistant.

That's not quite it. Woj said earlier on TV that the Clippers really like Lue but want to do a full search. They shouldn't have taken 2 weeks to fire Doc.

If this is the guy Griff wants, it's time to do what Griff does best, sell.

I'd love to know if the Clippers like him a lot and he knows it and he's pulling a Tom Herman for leverage, or he's legit seriously considering his options.

This coaching search is going to give me a nervous breakdown.

The Clippers have said they are going through the full process, evaluating and interviewing people.

It could be him telling them to shite or get off the pot, or he could be being proactive and not waiting for them, and evaluating all of this options.

So you’re saying Lue is coming in to interview Doc Rivers style. He’s coming out of the interview with a contract. Right? We gonna all be melting together tomorrow.

No I'm not saying that.

I don't have a clue. Maybe the Pelicans are going to interview multiple people, Lue is going to interview here and Houston and LAC.

Or maybe we offer him a contract and don't let him leave.

Who knows

I honestly do not know who I am hoping for. There are no "no-brainer" IMO. I know I do not want Kidd or Jackson and am not super high on D'Antoni or Lue, but it does not appear Griffin is looking hard at assistants.

I am afraid we will make a budget hire like Alvin. I hope the Pelicans realize they can not fail 3 times to build around a superstar. CP3 , AD , and hopefully Zion.

I’m out on Kidd, Jackson, and Finch, open to most others.

I think I’d prefer Atkinson, but I have been warming up to the idea of Lue. We need someone who can command respect better than Alvin did.
