Will this have a negative effect on Trumps chances?

I know the sympathy vote and change in news cycle may help, but also he might not be able to do rallies and the other debates. That will hurt him. Hopefully 7-10 days and he is recovered. If the virus ends up causing symptoms and lingers then he won’t be able to campaign during the most crucial period.

Let’s pray for our President and for a speedy recovery!

I think it depends on what he does while being in quarantine......if he helps negotiate another ME peace deal while in quarantine, it's over for the Dems.

I don't think there are really any undecided voters.

This entirely depends on trumps immune system. If this is a boring, mild course, he will win.

If gets severely ill, the left will use it as ammo to show how bad covid19 is and prove to us all we have to stay shut down forever.

Not just immune system, but what they are treating him with.

If he comes out of it without needing to be hospitalized, then that's good.

But, there are a lot that haven't decided to go vote. That is another reason the Democrats want to help their base with the spam ballots.

If 80% of Republicans are motivated and vote, while only half of Democrats, the race is over.

Now that would be funny, I would laugh my butt off if he pulled off something big like that working virtually. Now lets get a golf simulator up in the white house so he can really work. Seems he best work is done on the course, and that is where he closes deals.

He was literally mocking Biden wearing a mask like two days ago, I doubt it.

But I doubt it helps Biden either.

I expect him to come out with a statement where he says he feels completely fine. Stock market rebounds.

It all depends on how sick he gets. If he’s asymptomatic and still campaigning hard it won’t really affect anything. I don’t see much sympathy from the vote or the media. I think the media and Dems are going to hammer him as being reckless and catching it. It’s a bold strategy on their part that could blow up in their face but don’t think for a minute they’re not celebrating this.

A mask would not have stopped him from getting it.

Yeah, if even the most protected man on the planet can get it (he said that and I agree with it) then we’re all gonna die. That’s how this message will end up.

This will hurt him election wise, all we can do is hope he beats it quickly and moves on.

This could be either a victory or great disaster. Remains to be seen.

Agree. He beats it he looks strong and healthy.

If it makes him ill and he ends up in hospital I think it hurts him. My doctor was hospitalized and he isn’t overweight at all and in his 50s. He damn near died and was in the hospital 3 months. I think he coded once. He has to learn to walk again and hasn’t fully regained his mental capacities. If Trump gets hit hard it will take half a year or more to get back to normal and the media will hammer on this as “not fit to fullfill his duties”

Luckily so far he seems asymptomatic
