It's tough to know because they aren't letting spectators in, they aren't publishing any reports, they aren't streaming the scrimmages, they aren't even tweeting our trackman data like they've done in the past.

It's a little ridiculous that a school like Siena, the pretty much no one has ever heard of and certainly doesn't know is a D1 school, can stream all of their scrimmages, with a commentator, and we get radio silence.

Or John A Logan JC in Illinois who streams their batting practice and scrimmages with real time trackman data on the screen at all times. And we get nothing.

Or any number of schools around the country with similar twitter accounts to our LSUBaseballData account tweeting out both hitter and pitcher trackman data after every practice. Wake Forest, K-State, Ole Miss, among them.

I can understand if we didn't get a scrimmage report or any scrimmage data if they didn't actually scrimmage last night. But we don't really even have any confirmation that they practiced at all.

If anyone can confirm dates/times of scrimmages, I'll do my best to get some first hand info to share with all.

Baseball Practice Closed to General Public This Fall

BATON ROUGE, La. – The 2021 LSU baseball squad will take the field for the first time on Wednesday afternoon as the Tigers begin their six-week fall practice period in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Due to concerns about COVID-19 exposure, all practice sessions and scrimmages this fall will be closed to the general public.

"We traditionally welcome our fans to all of the fall workouts and scrimmages, but it's simply not possible this year," explained LSU coach Paul Mainieri. "We have an obligation to create a safe and secure environment for our student-athletes, and we appreciate our fans understanding the need for this policy."

Fall practice is scheduled to continue through November 10

They are trying to get their players seen, LSU doesn't have that problem

Jaden Hill fires a 96mph fastball for a strike and we are underway with our first scrimmage of the fall!
