Damn that's scary. He's lucky it happened when he was around people and could get him help right away. I hope they helped him in time.

I have no desire to watch a man have a stroke.

Hope he makes it through.

Fox just broke into their show to say he has been hospitalized for precautionary measures. Certainly didn’t look precautionary

yep. he was the one that opened my eyes to the failures of the two party system, and the fact that my side can be really wrong a lot.

Rand can be goofy, but he's a great torchbearer for individual liberty.

Prayers for Dr. Paul.

Damn, that's pretty sobering to see it hit someone mid-stride like that. Prayers for he and his family.

Happened to my dad like that about 2 years ago. He was just standing around shooting the shite at work one morning and he started laughing and just collapsed and had a stroke. Barely survived. He has major speech problems now, right arm won’t work worth a damn, and has terrible balance.

Prayers for Ron Paul and his family

Even if you're not a libertarian....most can agree that we want a libertarian and their point of view represented within our "government by committee".

Or else it's just a race to come up with some new expensive form of intervention without thinking about the unintended consequences.

Ron Paul, a former presidential candidate and a pioneering figure in the libertarian movement, was hospitalized Friday after suffering an apparent medical incident during a live stream on his YouTube channel.

Paul, 85, was talking about federal stimulus money when his speech began to slur.

He was hospitalized in Texas for "precautionary reasons," according to Fox News.

Fox News also reported that Paul was "lucid and optimistic."

Same here. Before I found out about him, I thought all politicians were just prima donnas...98% still are, but I'm glad we had a diamond in the rough. Prayers for Dr. Paul.

Republicans will as well.

The overwhelming majority of republicans aren't pieces of shite, so no. Celebrating people's death is almost exclusively a socialist democrat thing. Osama Bin Laden is the only celebrated death among those on the right I can remember. And what kind of a-hole do you have to be to say such a thing?

Were you not here for McCain's death? Willful ignorance.

I was talking about Republican politicians and FOX News talking heads. I will never forget how awful they treated this great man during his 2008 campaign.

Yeah, most of the libertarians around here don't like me much, but I agree with your statement to a large extent.

Ron Paul is a brilliant man, and had we listened to him and implemented many of his solutions, we would have a better, stronger, and more free country. Which makes him a patriot, and a true statesman/steward, and there will never be another like him.
