Costco recently removed a popular pimento cheese brand from 120 of its stores after the owner called the Black Lives Matter movement a "terror organization" on his public Facebook.

In reaction to the murder of two local residents, Brian Henry, founder of Palmetto Cheese and mayor of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, took to Facebook on Aug. 25 with a message many residents considered to be racist in nature. Although the post has since been deleted, screenshots circulated social media calling on customers to #BoycottPalmetto.

Even though the mayor 'apologized' it's worth remembering what triggered this entire thing: the senseless killing of white people by a black guy.

My best friend sells plastic packaging to the company (Duke Foods) that makes this cheese on behalf of the Henry family. My friend lost $20k a year in income and Duke Foods has laid off over 60 people because of this BS. The owners are flying out to Washington tomorrow to meet with the Costco folks. We don't anticipate it going well for them. It's a great product.

I would be willing to burn shite down if the leftists try to take away Palmetto Pimento Cheese.

It is so delicious. I had It for lunch today.

Why do they ruin EVERYTHING?!?

Nobody gives a shite about pimento cheese, but just so we're clear on how long these WOKE rages go on. Remember a week after George Floyd was killed when every brand that hinted at the old south days vowed to change? #metoo

Well, it is. But as a business owner, you must tread lightly if you want your business to survive.

I will buy some Palmetto tomorrow. In general I purchase whatever the Social Media mob tries to cancel, just to give them the middle finger. For example, I bought GOYA recently - turns out the frozen tamale cornbread is pretty good, if you want cornbread quick.

I love Costco. Unionized workforce and higher wages. Whatever they sell, or don’t sell, is good enough of a selection for me.
