Ehhh....

Didn’t he withhold money from them before bc their government was corrupt and turns out he was right? Bc they were hiding supplies from citizens in a warehouse?

I hear there are 'Ricans scattered throughout the U.S. (displaced) who are eligible to vote wherever they are, for national offices. So pro move on Trump's part, IMO.

Only about three years late. Pretty convenient this happens weeks before reelection time.

quote:

The administration has cited concerns about alleged "mismanagement and corruption" in Puerto Rico as the reason for the holdup.

quote:

Wanda Vázquez Garced (born July 9, 1960)[5][6] is a Puerto Rican politician and attorney who has been the Governor of Puerto Rico since August 7, 2019.[7][8] Prior to her tenure as governor, she served as the 19th Secretary of justice from 2017 to 2019. A member of the New Progressive Party and Republican Party of Puerto Rico, Vázquez Garced is the second female governor in Puerto Rico history after Sila María Calderón. She assumed the office following the resignation of Ricardo Roselló and the judicial annulation of Pedro Pierluisi's short-lived government in the aftermath of the Telegramgate Scandal.

Seems to be clear cut as to why it took so long. The admin simply didn’t trust the prior leadership.

Wonder if they had to come up with a 25% match like the states?

At this point what difference does it make how much money Trump spends? If the dems win this election the USA will transformed into a totally different nation and the Republicans will never win a presidential election again.

Can't we still talk to Denmark about a swap for Greenland? Wouldn't all those Danes want a warm place to vacation in the Caribbean?
