If that's what it takes for us to have football then, by all means, do it.

Doesn't change the fact that it's dumb. We don't have that kind of testing for any other facet of our society. Not military, hospital personnel, grocery stores, food processing, schools, etc.

There hasn't been a seriously ill college football player yet. There's barely been a seriously ill college student. All they are doing is attempting to prevent one asymptomatic person from spreading it to another asymptomatic person.

Add the contact tracing debacle on top of that and it's a joke. The contact tracing is what is causing people to cancel games.

A person with no symptoms comes in contact with a person with no symptoms, but one tests positive. They both sit for two weeks.

The Big 10 is making them sit for 21 days.

We are trying to stop the spread of and defeat a worldwide global pandemic. It would be completely reckless to send 70+ people halfway across the country to play a sporting event if they have potentially come down with COVID

These aren’t normal times, we are living in a worldwide global pandemic. Yes most college age students are low risk, but by traveling they risk spreading the disease to people that are high risk

Thousands of people board planes, trains, buses and cars and travel all over the country, every single day.

The vast majority have never been tested. Not once, much less not every day.

We don't have enough morgue trucks to handle a college football season.

Hasn’t it lost pandemic status already?

Testing the LEAST vulnerable population the MOST makes no sense.

I'm for it, if that's what it takes for us to have football, but it's still a joke.

There are these things called coaches, teachers, and administrators that tend to be really old on every single campus ya know.

Oh FFS. I'm so tired of "muh grandparents"

Anyone that is too old or in ill health, needs to stay home. The world cannot quit turning to protect every vulnerable person. They should protect themselves.

The wheels of industry, retail, grocery, etc., have kept going and these industries all have older, vulnerable populations.

CDC reverses controversial testing guidance.

the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is now recommending that all people who have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 should get tested, even if they aren't showing symptoms.

Its all about power, control, and brainwashing. The restaurant business is proof A of this ridiculousness. "No entry unless wearing a mask." Walk 10 ft, sit down, take off mask, converse with server sans mask, able to freely move about restaurant sans mask after being seated, etc. Such bullshite.

Why do you care that they are keeping a close eye on it. Hell, it may be the reason we get all the games they have scheduled.

My job requires three test a week and if it means I get to work, go for it. Their test does not affect you but here you are fighting the dumb fight.

I stated that I am for it if that's what it takes for us to have football.

You can accept something, and still ridicule it.

I wear a mask, where required. I still think it's stupid, but I'm not fighting it.

Ok so Coach O, Steve Ensminger, Scott Linehan, Bo Pelini, Greg McMahon, Bill Johnson, and Mickey Joseph should all stay home. Got it. That leaves LSU with... James Cregg and Kevin Faulk as their coaching staff.
