My question...Bill Gates is the ONLY non doctor or medical professional that can speak freely about COVID without getting censored. Why is that?

He had to have misspoke. There is no logical way anyone can believe that.
As an expert myself (I've watched a lot of pandemic movies) the first move is ALWAYS to restrict travel.
If Hollywood directors know that, then Gates should.

Frick Bill Gates
The left’s stupidity is off the charts. They are throwing everything negative they can into the mix to defeat Trump.

He probably meant "the travel bans made covid not work as well"

A rhetorical question is a question someone asks without expecting an answer. The question might not have an answer, or it might have an obvious answer. So, why would you ask a question and not expect an answer? Don't the two go hand in hand?
Well, sometimes these questions are asked to punch up a point. If the answer is glaringly obvious, it will make that answer stand out. Sometimes it's used to persuade someone. Other times, it's used for literary effect.
When a writer poses a question to the reader, they can spend some time in thoughtful contemplation. Enjoy the following rhetorical question examples to see how many you've encountered in your own life.
Rhetorical Questions with Obvious Answers
Is the pope Catholic?
Is rain wet?
You didn't think I would say yes to that, did you?
Do you want to be a failure for the rest of your life?
Does a bear poop in the woods?
Can fish swim?
Can birds fly?
Do dogs bark?
Do cats meow?

If he actually believes this I wouldn’t take his vaccines.

Maybe it's because he helped create it?

Because Trump has inserted himself into the political world and is partisan by definition.
Gates, although falsely, has portrayed himself as a technology and global health leader who is above the fray and non-partisan.
Apparently a lot of people buy that. I don't.
Also, Gates has Trump's money in his couch cushions.
