Looking at redoing my kitchen, laundry, & 3 bathrooms countertops with granite or quartz. Am I looking at $10k or closer $20k?

I did my 3 bathrooms with sinks for $2500

Do you have some measurements? What quartz/granites are you looking at?

It all depends on what you pick. 2cm, 3cm, what kind of edge, and what stone you actually select. You can get granite sold by the sf at a low cost (it will be a speckled granite) or you can get a granite that's sold by the slab. The more movement in it the higher the price.
Quartz is a man made product that is smaller slabs than granite. So you will potentially need more slabs to get your project done. Also quartz pricing jumped up high when tarrifs were announced. I believe they may be coming back down as some are now being sourced from other countries, but it's still higher than it used to be.
And make sure you're talking about quartz and not quartzite. Quartzite is going to be your most expensive option.
But to try and give you a number, if you go with the "builder grade" granite (priced by the sf) you should budget about $35-40/sf. If you go higher grade or even quartz, budget $65/sf.
Another option is to find remnants at different fabricators to cover your smaller vanities and laundry counters. They will just be a set price like 500 bucks or something.

We just did our house with shadow white granite. It was done for $43/sqft if I remember correctly. That is 3cm installed including 5 sinks. The prices we were quoted were all over the place. I will post pics when I am able.

Go granite. It’s a superior product. Don’t let the “but you have to seal it or you’ll die” club scare you.

After owning homes with both products my wife and I have the opposite opinion(that's OK).
Quartz can be just as pretty and really is less to worry about. Particularly things soaking into granite.. with a house full of kids you never know what will get left sitting on the counter.

$25-$125 ft depending on selection

Here are the pics. The wife told me it was $40/sqft installed.

Sorry to hijack OP, but janky, is that luxury vinyl?

Technically, it is dolomite.

That is gorgeous, Janky! I love, love, love it!
ETA: I should've copied all the pics. What a nice long run of counter and cabinets. Plenty of workspace. And beautiful color choice on the cabinets.

Thank you. Once I am completely done I am going to do a before and after thread.

Granite prices where I am vary wildly. If you go with the lower level granite it is very affordable and much more affordable than quartz. If you want the really pretty or rare granite, that shite gets way more expensive than quartz.

Sometimes people take it for granite.

Granite/Quartz
You are probably thinking of quartzite. Quartzite is a natural stone similar to granite. Quartz is a man made “slab” that is made with crushed pieces of quartz and resin that is poured into a mold and looks nothing like a natural stone with “movement”.

Sorry to hijack your hijack, but even though this has it's place and is a nice product in it's place, this is quite the oxymoron.

That's not really the case any more. It's still produced that way, but it's hard to tell some of these from natural granite. All of those solid color designs are still available, but now you can find patterns you once found only with natural stone.
Take a look at a maker like Cambria; this stuff is beautiful and almost worry free.
