Is there even new fall programming to compete against?
They should be killing it right now.
I wonder why they aren't.

So when you add in the west coast, about 18-20m people watched?
I’ll update the numbers then, clinger.

If the Seahawks or 49ers aren't playing, ratings from the west coast are virtually nonexistent.
Yes, I know LA has two teams, but they don't give two shits about either.

You know it's bad when the Cowboys (who get way more prime slot showings than their performance deserves, because either you want to see them win or lose badly) can't help you pull ratings. Even with an opponent opening a new shiny stadium in a major market.

As a UGA and Falcons fan, I really wanted to see Gurley's debut.
But I didn't watch one second of it, because frick the nfl.

That is the thing that will be missed. The Cowboys consistently draw the biggest viewers numbers every year.
Something that will be missed as we move along is that the Nielsen folks upped their game. This is the first year they have been able to measure "out-of-home" viewers. The media will use the overall numbers without context to show that viewership isn't dropping.
Neilsen Explanation
Advertisers beef due to artificial increase

No they didn’t. They chose the lesser of two evils. They chose to offend white middle age and older men rather than offend the black kids who can always quit their league and go form another one. Lot’s of companies are doing the same; they’re not all stupid.

I finished off my first attempt at a shadow box with my exploits in completing the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky. Much more rewarding.

Porn Hub had more viewers than all of the NFL games combined.

Fools like this think players play forever when the truth is you could dump em all and restock the league with little downside. It also flies in the face of the other narratives like old racist white men own and run the league but we’re supposed to now believe these hardened racist are choosing ungrateful players over their beloved racist fans. Can’t have it both ways. The networks control the league and they’re 100% in the tank for the left, that plus the owners knowing giving them this will neuter the union when the CBA comes around. That’s what’s going on.

I think its a little premature to say other streams of revenue will drop significantly based on a 2 million fewer fans the first week of a boycott.
It will be more interesting to see if the ratings start to gradually rise once the novelty of the boycott wears off.
