Yeah I'm an idiot who thinks they are going to magically have cap space to pay a cb a $100 mill and then pay the top RT in the NFL.

Let's see how well that works with a ton of dead $$$, no qb, and a decreased salary cap. Good luck with that scenario.

Hopefully AK doesn't mail it in since he got paid.

Lattimore and Williams are gone
If that's the case, if we didn't sign Kamara, one of them would still be gone.

You're not getting both of those dudes combined for what we're giving Kamara.

Does that include the signing bonus?

Pierre, Reggie, Sproles, etc all were fantastic in the passing game for us and pretty damn comparable to what Kamara has given us in the passing game

Top yards from scrimmage seasons among the 4 players

1. Kamara - 1592 yards
2. Kamara - 1554 yards
3. Kamara - 1330 yards

* Kamara has only played 3 seasons

4. Sproles - 1313 yards (only broke 1k yards once)
5. Reggie - 1307 yards (Only broke 1k yards once)
6. Pierre - 1095 yards (1k twice in 8 seasons here)

And to add, those guys were well compensated during their time relative to their production

Kamara is on another level. Cmon

He's not gonna see that money. He'll be cut or traded within 3 years.

Peediction:

1. Sign big contract extension.
2. Production drops by 30%.

It really amazes me how some of you who follow football just can’t research or even grasp how this works. First off, the contract has only 35 million guaranteed in it. A lot of money on roster bonuses and incentives.

2nd, this to me almost guarantees lattimore and Ram are both extended next year. Why? They will need to in order to get under the cap next year. They will sign both of them to a backloaded deal for 5 or so years pushing the large cap hits to later in future when we aren’t paying a qb elite level cap money.

It really only takes a little research to understand this. This board is constantly filled with idiots

Saints should have paid Ingram when they had the chance. Kamara has been shitty since Mark left.

Yeah, they should of invested in the 30 year old rb instead of the 25 year old. Brilliant!

This confirms Drew is retiring next year or we are going to completely rebuild from scratch around Kamara

That’s a stupid amount for a RB. I’m assuming they’ve been told by Drew that this is his last year and they’re planning on rookie QB pay

Dude was jumping out of bounds on 3rd down in the playoffs before getting paid.

We’ll see what’s most important to him in short order.

No chance in hell would I pay a running back that kind of money. Just me
