Oh I hope so .. he looked pretty worn out. My question would be if he was in a boat in that weather, why wouldn't he have a lifejacket on?? Oh well, I hope he's safe and sound.

I can try to put my eyes on your location of building. There was still 2ft of water in garage last night

I feel so bad for the people who don't know how their property fared. I'm on a Ft. Morgan Facebook page and there are so many people asking if someone can get an eye on their houses. Some places out there are in pretty bad shape.

Condo owners get hurricane passes to check their properties

this is a storm that's going to end up getting its name retired after this year
not because of its strength... but b/c of its speed (or lack thereof)

That’s correct. You can also show a utility bill, etc because I know a lot of people who can’t locate their Hurricane pass stickers

Yeah I have been following along as well. Fort Morgan got rocked.
Looks like some dude uploaded a ton of pics to help out.
Wish I could get down there and help.

Where do the Marinas even begin with untangling the boat mess? Nowhere to tie up, just wait till owners come and try to collect?

Im just amazed at how bad that area got sucker punched...even with those barges that broke loose....that shite just is just unheard of. Those contractors should have already had a hurricane plan in place before the job even started.....Florida is going to frick them in the arse. Not to mention the barge owners insurance company is going to go after them as well. They are fricked

I'm anxiously waiting to hear the status of the beach house my family and I stay in every summer out there. It is on the beach in the Surfside Shores neighborhood. The owner tried to get in to the neighborhood yesterday but there was too much water.

Wait for the insurance companies to come out and declare them a total loss and then salvage companies will come and start salvaging them

I wonder how that nice sports complex on Canal Road looks. I umpire the USSSA World Series there every summer for 4-5 straight weeks. They put us up in that little condo village about a quarter mile down Canal Road. I forget the name of the condo village.

Other parts of the world use different scales so that alone proves it can be done.
Sure, we could use the Dvorak. Do you want to see a bitchfest? Throw the Dvorak into the mix for public consumption with a hurricane in the Gulf. The more parameters you put into it, the more complicated it will get. You think bitching about a cone is tiring? Throw in eye shape and banding into the equation and see where that gets you.
We account for rain with Flash Flood Warnings, we account for tornado risk with Tornado Warnings, we have surge maps that are getting more and more detailed. All of what you ask is there and easily accessible. Just because it isn't added to the pre-landfall rating so it can be bitched about doesn't mean it isn't accounted for.

That sport complex might’ve done ok, all things considered. It’s about as far away as possible from any water, biggest issue is probably having trees down.

Is i10 bridge open to get down there?
