What ya got? In need of a new one, flush mount and minimum leakage.
Which do you have and would you recommend?

I have a backflip that I like.

Which model? They seem to have a few.

Not “flush” mounted but I wanted to be able for my cover to hold a load so I went with the diamondback.
No regrets.

Love my bakflip. Cheaper than most, flush fitting, and you don’t lose any bed when all the way flipped.

Ultra flex. B&M in Lafayette was the cheapest I found.

HD or SE model? I want the HD, but dropping $2k on a bedcover is tough for me to swallow!

I did the se because only needed the 400 lb capacity it offered.

I went with the Retrax Pro. I still like it after 1 year. It get about 1 cup of water just behind the rear wheel wells on a hard rain, but 98% dry otherwise. I like the 500 lbs load capability.

Ive got a Rough Country trifold one that I use until hunting season comes. I really like it. it keeps everything secure and dry and gives me use of the full bed. Once hunting season comes I put on an ARE camper shell. That fb marketplace camper shell find camper shell is some of the best hunting money I have ever spent. Won't own another vehicle without one during hunting season

When you flip it all the way back/open, is it blocking your rear view completely?

Yes.
I have had the bakflip Mx4 for 3 years now and still like it a lot. Keeps everything dry and secure. I travel a lot in my truck so it helps to be able to put things there and not have to worry about.

Thanks Jon. I’ve been looking at different ones and wasn’t sure how I would like that. I travel with my dog kennels a good bit and they are too tall, but guess I could always not flip all the way to the cab. It’s between the flip and the retraction as of now.

just don't flip it all the way to the cab. you'll be fine

I second the retrax. Have had mine 3 yrs and I have very little water intrusion. Definitely will put one on new truck when the time comes

I have the bak flip mx4 and it has straps where you can buckle it on the last fold before standing it up on the cab.. plenty of room for dog kennels..

Another vote for Bakflip MX4 from me. Love it. Even got the Bakbox (slender tool box) to go with it. Installed it myself no problem. Dry in rain.

Lomax, mine doesn’t leak at all.

Thanks for the info. Will prob have one on my truck by the weekend. I’m over keeping junk on my backseat.
