“Your one black friend”

I hate this childish trope the left goes to all the time.
Got into a Twitter slapfight about black crime needing to be a part of the conversation about all this mess with a (wait for it) young, white woman.
Implied I was being racist and all that. I cited the fact that black on black crime is the biggest issue my cop friend has to deal with, and that he’s black.
The whole thing then became me calling attention to my “one black friend” and deflecting away from the point. I said, yes, he is my one black COP friend. Didn’t matter. She had her hook.
This kind of disingenuous crap will never allow them to engage the actual issues. Nothing but childish word games.

It is indeed childish to latch onto one irrelevancy and to subsequently ignore all efforts to engage in substantive discussion.

That is 0.00000002% chance they’ll be killed by police this month and that is only if they are a criminal who resists arrest. Leftists always have a ton of conversation enders and our society has allowed them to be untouchable. If called any sort of “ist” or “phobe”, you are no longer allowed to have a point in a leftist’s mind. They will just settle into screaming and chanting. If the “moderate” voters didn’t just accept this, we might be able to push it out of popular cultural acceptance and have some real debate...but unfortunately too many regard political discourse of any kind as distasteful. They hold their ears and accept what CNN and Fox tells them.

We live in a large private community with a wide variety of different types of people and the vast majority of our neighbors are good people who simply want to raise their families in peace.

I should clarify that’s unarmed black people. Obviously Darwin is going to take care of the situation if you’re shooting at a cop which happens too, and is probably happening a lot more often nowadays thanks to the violent rhetoric of the media and BLM

I remember after the election one of my acquaintances making the statement that anyone who votes for Trump is a racist. I asked “do you really believe that over 50% of the nation, many of these POC, are racist”? Absolutely she said. I knew then there is talking sense with leftists.
