Becca is doubling down on that rape story huh? Okay sis.
It makes Butcher look pathetic. Rape or Not, Butcher should realize that he will never be #1 person on her list. She will always put Ryan above him. Now, if Ryan was Butcher's own flesh and blood that's fine. But Ryan is not only the son of another man, but he's the son of Butcher's #1 enemy.
Butcher should cut his loss and move on because it's a no win situation for him.

What are Starlight’s real powers?
She builds energy and does what with it. Could she be more powerful than she understands because she really hasn’t used them much. I need to rewatch season 1 maybe.

She made that decision for him with E4. I think that puts his desire for vengeance into overdrive.
The first scene with Madelyn had me confused. I couldn't figure out if he was dreaming it or he had somehow faked skullfricking her with his laser eyes. I had forgotten all about Doppelganger, which made the scene even freakier! That look of unease on Homelander's face and he wouldn't look back until he had morphed again...
It's annoying how racism is the big cliche bad guy these days. I hope their eventual goal with Stormfront is to make her more than just an appeasement for the BLM types who can't get enough of it from the NFL.

In the comics Stormfront is quite literally a Nazi, like, 1940s Nazi. I like the Liberty angle they have added

It does seem to get the most bang for the buck these days.

Initially I thought Stormfront was a sort of punkish feminist. Would’ve been more relevant to real life but I understand they’re following the comics here.

You do realize they are following the comics with her, and they were written starting in 2006 right? That character's racism has zero to do with BLM.

So, this is a silly criticism given the comics predate BLM by about 7-8 years. As others who have read have said, they’ve deviated some but are still following some major comic components and apparently Stormfront is one of those.
The show even last season has tapped into some edgier subjects. Rape, the real consequence of fame, LGBTQ relationships, genetic modification, religion (particularly the hypocrisy in it at times), etc. That’s pretty par for what the show has done from day one and I don’t know why anyone would be shocked they’d touch on racism.

She's not a one dimensional "racist bad guy" though. The racism is a layer of her character that does multiple things:
- Shows how callous she is, which makes her dangerous. When she killed the black kid as Liberty she did it because his life mattered too little to take the time to get the full story and find out he was innocent.
- Because of the current social climate it is a secret she needs to keep that Starlight now knows, which will undoubtedly lead to a conflict between them at some point.
This doesn't look like shallow SJW pandering at all, she's a well developed character that is legitimately threatening Homelander for control of the 7. And while she backed down pretty quickly when Homelander got the red eyes, she's pretty powerful and you do wonder if she'd have a punchers chance against him.

There is actually a scene in one of the ads that gives you an idea about her power compared to homelander...

She's also really good at getting a following as well as hiding her true intentions. It's not like she her followers are a bunch of 4Chan posters or Q guys. She knows how to manipulate people and use social media to benefit her unlike Homelander. Homelander knows that's she's starting to become bigger than him and it's why he's so pissed

Absorbs electricity and redirects. Maybe she'll be a good match to take out Stormfront by absorbing the lightning.
Or perhaps Starlight can actually redirect stars' energy and she'll be shooting frickin' laser beams from outer space

I did not. I have purposely stayed away from the comics so I can be surprised by things. Thanks for clearing that up though. I've got no issue if they have her remaining true to the source material.

I missed this. What’d it show? I’d think if there was someone has powerful as Homelander everyone would know it already.
Also, how is Stormfront allowed to hold anti Vaught rallies while still a part of the 7?

Until Edgar says/does something, she's untouchable. Remember, HE put her on the 7.

So must be a reason why Edgar would bring on a new supe malcontent.
I also wonder about the work schedule of the 7. Like Starlight talks about being so busy but then can sneak off for a road trip. Guess they don’t punch a clock.

I think I just saw it. The whole commercial was about Stormfront and at one point Queen Maeve says something along the lines of "we've got to join together to stop her" Since Stormfront seemed to be the focus of the ad, I'm guessing she's the her the 7 has to team up to stop, suggesting Stormfront is quite powerful.

Yeah I wondered if she was really scared when Homelander’s eyes lit up. Hard to tell whether she’s faking.
