Cyclists should stay on the sidewalk where they belong
Posted on 9/3/20 at 1:50 pm to el Gaucho
No, sir. They have every single right to be on the road.

Possibly very unfortunate.

I have the right to walk through a nest of snakes on my property, doesn’t make it smart.

No shite. He shoulda been over on the new and improved Government street with that great empty dedicated bike lane instead of Jefferson.

Why do people ride bicycles on roadways with 5 lanes and 45 MPH speed limits?
Posted on 9/3/20 at 2:17 pm to Paul Allen
If they follow the same laws as vehicles they have the right...which a lot of the time they don’t.
Posted on 9/3/20 at 2:27 pm to Paul Allen
I ride 4-5 days a week, and even I hate cyclists.

"and even I hate cyclists"
This x 100.
This x 100.

No different than any other social justice movement

Cyclist want to pretend like they are vehicles until it comes to obeying traffic signs... then they go rogue and turn into hood ornaments.

Pretty stupid place to ride a bike. Hell its not even a safe place to drive.
IN for the bike crew to rally around the biker and call drivers lunatics for driving on the gat-damn road without dodging bikes doing 5mph

Not that you're wrong about the statistics, but if a lot of y'all would get your asses out of your car and use a bike periodically, the entire state would be much better off.
Riding a bike is more efficient and better for literally everybody on the planet than driving a car. The fact that some people on this forum think that it isn't feasible for people to ride their bikes 15 miles to their workplace is a serious issue. And I'm not talking about disabled folks. I'm talking about the people who insist on driving their 12 mpg tanks of vehicles to their workplace down the road. It's plain stupid and you look like an idiot.

You aren’t lying brother. I rode my bike to work this morning. 12 miles and no problems at all besides that it was a tad humid so I drank both my gallons of water by the 6 mile mark. As soon as I got to work and showered and ironed my suit that was rolled up in my backpack I felt great.
Ran into a snag on the way home though. The office washer and dryer were down for maintenance and my riding gear from this morning made me throw up when I pulled it out of the ziplock so I had to ride home in my suit. I’m at a Racetrack right now drinking a 64 oz Powerade and feeling this great breeze though. Just enjoying life.

Probably a BRCC member that just left the 19th hole after 3 hour martini lunch.

There are things called shower kits that you can bring with you to work.
If you need 2 gallons of water to ride 15 miles you're horribly out of shape.
If you have a white collar job, chances are you have the infrastructure to keep clothes at the office. If you work in a warehouse, your clothes likely don't need to be ironed.
What you listed are real issues that in which cyclists encounter from time to time, as facetiously as you phrased it. But let's be real; these are not the things stopping people from cycling to work. People are just lazy.
