He's got absolutely nothing to lose by doing this. He;ll have plenty to gain if everything goes well for the teams that do play. The Big 10 school states will know how good, or bad, a decision it was by November.

How dare Trump fight for the opportunity for young men, whom are a majority African American, to essentially interview for a million dollar job this fall!

This had nothing to do with Trump. I knew a deal was in the works when he mentioned the Big Ten playing football a few days ago. Of course he's going to act like he was the main reason the Big Ten is back to playing. He's done this before. Some company decided to restart or move or do whatever and he acts like he was the reason it happened. Typical from the Narcissist. Funny no mention of the Pac12 by him....

Pretty much. Big Ten has been getting blasted by fans. Warren can see that he might have destroyed his career. They are trying to safe face. Not to mention lost money, especially if the SEC is successful.

Trump was smart enough to latch on to this. He can claim a win regardless of what happens. His call didn’t cause this.

Waiting for a Big 10 school team to win the national championship and then say they don't want to go to the White House.

Better do it in next 4 years, because Trump will be out of there. Ohio State has the only real shot if I had to guess.

So from not at all, to next spring, to next January, to turkey day, to Oct 10.

Wow, at this rate (moved up 6 months before their supposed spring start), they might start before the SEC

I don't think he's trying to take credit for anything. I think he saw tweeting what he did as an opportunity to make the people that oppose him look bad, if they don't start sooner than when their new November start date. I think he got the response he wanted when Pete Thamel's article came out saying they weren't going to start immediately, like Trump suggested. It feels like it puts pressure on the people that want him to fail.

Trump's tweet is a smart move because it will make the Big 10 administration, and the Democratic politicians in those states, look bad if the teams that are starting earlier are successful at doing so. It's not like it's going to hurt him politically, if the teams that are starting early aren't successful.

He's like Edwins Edwards claimed he was, with his base. The only way he doesn't get those votes is if he gets caught in bed with the live boy, or dead girl.

The PAC 12 teams and coaches have no interest in playing, at least publicly. They don't have lawsuits being lodged against them. More importantly those states are lost causes to a republican candidate. Why would he care about them? It's called campaigning and he "trumped" the Dems on this one and they know it. That's why they feel the need to try to extinguish the fire.
