Of the 153,504 reported COVID deaths in the US, only 6% died of only COVID.

That’s 9,210 who have died with COVID as the sole cause of death. That is per the CDC, who only this week clarified the fact that, until now, they have been classifying everyone to die WITH coronavirus as having died OF coronavirus. An absurd method of calculation that could only have been implemented to inflate the death toll.
We’ve been lied to. People’s lives have been upended by these lies. Children have been robbed of educational, social, and athletic opportunities during crucial formative years based on these lies. An injustice and a disgrace.

Deaths are absolutely inflated, but this CDC information isn’t really the gotcha people may think it is. For instance, 54K died with the comorbidity of respiratory failure. That is something we know to be caused by COVID-19 according to research. In other words, the comorbidities can be linked to each other in a lot of cases.

Do they list the comorbidities anywhere? I’d like to see that. Because if it’s only 64K dead from COVID and respiratory failure, that’s a hugely different number than 165K dead.

We've known this all along....
Covid doesn't kill healthy people in their primes, we've known this for months.
The problem is a large percentage of our population does have comorbitalities that covid has shown to exploit

Probably bc it is misleading. Take high blood pressure (millions ) and diabetes (millions ) which are both very treatable or managed . Would the deaths with theses diseases still be alive if they hadn’t caught Covid ?.... I would say probably so . Would they have died JUST from Covid this year without conditions? .... probably not

All the link is saying is that only 6% of people didn’t have a co morbidity.
I guess no one understands what a comorbidity is. It is just a history of another medical problem, it’s not another cause of death.
I’m all for exposing the ridiculousness of our response but don’t make yourself look like an idiot trying to do it.
For example, someone with a history (comorbidity) of high blood pressure dies FROM covid. They died from severe viral pneumonia that had nothing to do with high blood pressure. They wouldn’t be included in the 6% you are highlighting. But they clearly died FROM covid.

This is factually incorrect. While opportunistic infections are the cause of a vast majority of deaths among patients with HIV, the virus has been known to kill by itself - with the vast majority of those deaths occurring in stage 3 (the AIDS stage of the virus).

You understand that heart attack, stroke, and renal failure can all result directly from COVID, right? This is not a “gotcha”. This is people not understanding the relation between conditions. People with AIDS don’t generally die of just AIDS, either.

Yes, many people don’t get deathly ill and get over it quickly.
But when you get very sick and require ICU care then things are different. Many different things are happening that are the cause of death.
They go into ARDS and can’t be ventilated well or at all. They get blood clots causing many issues.
People aren’t dying from COVID 19 but often the cause of death is the thing COVID 19 caused. That cause of death is what is named.
More people have died in the time frame since this started than in the same time frame of any other year. So what caused these deaths? A liberal conspiracy to murder people to get Trump out of office? I’ve heard people say this and it has no basis in fact. Much of what people say about this illness has no basis in fact.
The scariest part is that we don’t really understand the illness or how to treat it.
There are a few ways to maybe limit the severity but nothing that cures it. I’ve taken care of many very sick people who got Hydrochloroquin, steroids, convalescent plasma, all the vitamins and they still died.
I’m sure this will make some people angry.

I wouldn't say that only 9200 people died as a direct result of Covid. But when 80% of reported deaths are 65 years and older, and 60% are over 75, I wouldn't say 164,000 is close to accurate either.
