Yes he will get off. He will be charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, but as far as the shootings themselves they were all in self defense.

They know he will walk regardless of what he's charged with, so go for broke with the charges. This will fire up the following riots more if he walks on murder charges.

Depends on the laws of the state.

Some states only try you on the actual charge.

Others make charges in a series inclusive. Ex - Being charged with Murder 1 means you can be convicted of anything from Murder 1 down to Manslaughter.


In the former states, this is an easy winner.

In the latter states, it is a negotiation tactic to try and get him to plead down.
