Regardless of your opinion on the issue you gotta respect these guys for following through

And really I am specifically talking about the Milwaukee Bucks, everyone else just followed their lead.
I know this will turn into a political shite show thread, but I just wanted to say it is impressive that they were willing to take a stand and sacrifice something important to them for a cause they believe in.
Maybe they will get to replay the game, maybe the playoffs will continue, maybe the actual consequences they face will end up being none.
Regardless of what actually comes of this, they took a stand and were willing to face the consequence of a forfeit, loss of revenue, or worse, and for that they deserve props. It's always impressive to watch people take a stand for what they believe, whether you agree with their cause and their actions or not

I don’t think anyone here cares what you think

I don't respect people who do extreme things based off of total lies.

they haven't faced any consequences yet

Nothing. They took the day off from work

Money the entire CBA could blow up because of this.

Considering the fact that they had the best record in the NBA, a chance at a championship

I am not so sure about this. The Lakers and clippers were willing to lose revenue. They are teams full of vets who have made millions and millions. The other 11 squads want to play it out, compete, and get paid.

I have the little respect for the Bucks, namely because they didn't follow through. Started 'the boycott', then hours later voted as a team to keep playing.

At a minimum they were willing to sacrifice the game. When they decided not to play they were willing to forfeit. Again, they may face no consequences, but they were willing to. The whole rest of the playoffs may not happen, that's a pretty big consequence for these guys.
Or maybe they will just resume playing tomorrow, but it doesn't change the fact that they were willing to, at a minimum, forfeit a playoff game, and at a maximum, lose the rest of the playoffs(of which they are one the favorites to win), and possibly millions of dollars

I agree. I think they are stupid and short-sighted. But if they care more about social change than money and think this is the way to enact change, go for it.

Yea that was weird. You'd think they would have voted with the clippers and lakers

They’re still going to play

They didn’t sacrifice anything. They’ll be back playing by the weekend. They got a couple of days off and a little attention.

Again, that may end up being the case, it doesn't change the fact that they were willing to give up at least the game and maybe even more.
