The fact that you equate money with intelligence is very telling regarding how much of the latter you possess.

Having that kinda money at that age will teach you things you could never learn in a classroom.

Why do people on TD feel the need to constantly insult the intelligence of athletes?
Because it’s the truth. Most professional athletes have below average intelligence. Especially basketball and football players.
“Not surprisingly, football and men's basketball players came out on the bottom, and some averaged hundreds of points lower on SATs than their classmates.
Football players average 220 points lower on the SAT than their classmates. Men's basketball was 227 points lower.“

Like how to go bankrupt in a few years after leaving the league like the majority of NBA players?
What exactly are they learning about other than what the inside of strip clubs look like in at least 30 cities in the US

Here's what may happen

The WNBA games are still on today. Every 7 minutes, they will stop playing as a sign of protest.
Posted on 8/26/20 at 5:46 pm to hendersonshands
Just cancel it in that case

neither does sitting at southeastern for 4 years and getting a general studies degree but we got posters here who claim intellectual superiority over others just bc they got a degree from some in state Directional school. Like that is more of an “education” than the real world experiences others have had.

Deep down Silver is thinking, I went to the ends of the earth to make this bubble work and they are gonna torch it.
This is his own damn fault. He has let himself be a doormat and will cave to anything the black players want. Silver is a spineless bitch. The NBA needs a David Stern type hardass right now.

This.
I don't have a problem with NBA players making social statements. But this seems rushed and not terribly well thought out.
Like, what's the end game? Specifically, what to do they want to happen? All I've seen are nebulous demands like "Change", and defiant "Enough" posts on social media.
Is there going to be a work stoppage until there's "equality"? And who decides when everything is equal? And if you go back to work without achieving equality, don't you come across as unprincipled and somewhat hypocritical?
I mean, it's fine to take a stand for what you believe in, but don't your demands also have to specific and measurable? Otherwise, why go back to work until we all live in Utopia?

Tangible solutions to what?

It's obviously gotten incredibly emotional for a lot of these players, and whether that's right or wrong is not up to me or anyone else on this board, but I truly feel these guys are going to continue to play the season out once they talk and together.
