With the lag in test results, that's actually difficult to say with absolute certainty. In fact, the State even qualifies the information provided with their statement that "Recent counts are likely to increase when additional reports are received". So, it is possible that we will have 2 consecutive weeks of downward numbers by 8/28, but we are still waiting on data to come in to determine.

Unfortunately, I think it's after the election so he can have his EO in place to loose the rules around absentee ballots. His looser restrictions don't matter if we don't have a state of emergency

The best part is the cases in Nola were so yesterday (12) or 3 per 100,000 that they actually met her completely outrageous demands for moving forward which was between 1 and 5 per 100,000. I'm sure she was out personally testing people in the street today to make sure that doesn't happen again.

I was told by my Video Poker guy today he was hearing from the ATC that bars without kitchens will likely be closed until Jan. 1st as well as the bars that are unable to meet the restaurant conditional compliance after 60 days.

The truth that you’re still waiting to declare itself in time for this one is that infection curves look almost identical everywhere regardless of mask mandates. The truth is masks have little to no impact of reducing the spread of covid.
