Sounds pretty accurate. Russians like everyone else were sure Hillary was the next president. They, like everyone couldn't figure out how anyone whom the polls showed trailing consistently by around 12% could win. So they set out to damage her administration and the process. Helping Trump, who anyone with a grip on reality was an absolutely sure bet to lose, was never the real issue. Obviously there was chicanery involved in the polls but no one knew just how flagrant it was. In a sense it helped Donald Trump since it gave Hillary a false sense of security and she likely called off some late trips to campaign. And maybe some of her voters failed to show thinking she was a sure winner.

Whatever happened with the transfer rate information about the server? I remember seeing something that the transfer rate was higher than internet speeds and therefore an internal job with someone who had physical access to the server.

No one ruled out the possibility of the Russians hacking the server.

This is dumb and attempts to meddle by adversaries for sure occurs in every election around the globe. The hoax is that Trump was somehow involved and that it is unusual for other countries to try and meddle.

Yeah, I'm sure Russia/Soviet Union, China, Iran, every country that hates the US has been trying to cause chaos in our electoral process for decades....thanks to the butt hurt Dims the Russians succeeded in causing a 4 year tantrum by the Dims.
