How different is the town you grew up in?

Born and raised on the westbank. The westbank has always been kinda trashy but Katrina really did a number on it. My town looks like Little Honduras now. It's not dangerous but the area has definitely taken a hit aesthetically and economically.

I don't know, but I'm sure there are PLENTY of people on here that can tell us how much Metairie has changed since I left in 1988.

Not much. The businesses on Main Street are pretty much kaput. Not that there were many anyway

It’s never changed! It’s Bordelonville, La!

Baton Rouge doesn't really feel like it's changed all that much since the early 90s.

I grew up in Bozeman, MT. Left in 2004 for LSU. It has blown up in size since I left.

Baton rouge is still a shithole.

I grew up in Central in the 80s to mid 90s. It looks a lot different in certain parts than I remember. It's grown quite a bit.
I lived there from 1978-1996 and for a year around 2005.

Grew up in a tiny tiny Louisiana town, tucked away in the woods. I grew up around old people, who had primarily supported their families financially in the 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s by fishing & trapping.
Those people’s kids, and my peers, destroyed that tiny town and it’s now nothing more than dilapidated homes of the past and meth trailers scattered all around. Probably more meth in that town than Heisenberg could move. My toddler asks me to tell him stories sometimes going while putting him down at night. Other night I was telling him stories about that tiny town, and the things I did growing up; but I got a little emo as it hit me that he’d absolutely never be able to experience the same things I was able to as a kid because druggies destroyed that town.

Honest to God, I read this sentence and thought "why would you put meth on a blimp?" Then said "oh wait that was the Hindenburg"
I'm not bright.

Not necessarily where I grew up but the overall household income has dropped to a level below poverty but still the same amount of bars and churches.

Was rural, lots of trees and pastures, growing up. Now it’s mostly suburban sprawl.

More hairdressers and tanning salons than I remember being there ..
That’s about it.
That’s about it.

Pretty much the same. Still mostly corn, cotton and bean fields. Still small.
We do have a couple new restaurants opening soon which is cool

I remember going to Bozeman a number of times as a kid. I'll probably take the family up there this year to my dad's place. I haven't been in probably 25 years. I've been to Billings a number of times for work in the past 15 years though.

Born and raised in Covington. Now it is New Orleans Northshore. Unrecognizable.
