Same in Old Gretna. Didn't like living there as a kid. No other kids to really play with the street wasn't really made for riding bikes like a subdivision.

Now, real estate prices have exploded and it's a great place to live if you want to be 5 minutes from New Orleans without all the bs of New Orleans.

Wish I could move back and be closer to family.

Moved from Hammond La to Willoughby Ohio when I was a kid probably ‘91 not sure bout Hammond (however I’ve visited my old homes, boy we were poor) northeast Ohio pretty much the same however Willoughby is/ has been getting darker since I grew up.

That was a mining pit back in the day. We used to ride 3 wheelers back there. BR is a shell of what it was in the 80s. There was a little crime in Scotlandville and a few select areas. The rest of it was safe and relatively clean with some good public schools.

My town is all South American now, used to be all German/Anglo. Also much wealthier since the Chavez cronies all brought their money here.

We certainly got more stores now also way more schools. Our downtown is pretty much the same but hey our fuktard mayor got us a fancy new jail and courthouse. That's about it
