Looking back, I think 2018 is one of my favorite seasons

You got to remember the circumstances surrounding the year:

1. Ed Orgeron's do or die year. Lots of people had us going 6-6 and firing the coach. Didn't believe it for a second

2. Miami game 1. Miami has a great year under Richt in 2017 and is looking to capitalize. 1st game of the year ranked 24TH and we go out there and dominate.

3. Auburn 2018 is one of my favorite games of all time. Burrow to Dillion. Clutch 4th down conversion by Sullivan. And of course the walk off by Cole Tracy.

Ranks as one of my favorites because it was one of those "Set-up" years that catapulted us into what we know as the GOAT season of 2019.

I miss Burrow already

2018 had a different feel than the previous 5 or so seasons. O's culture change was beginning to take shape, and the groundwork for 2019 was laid

2018 was a huge over achievement for that team at least based on pre-season expectations.

Obviously you hate losing, but the loss to UF and Bama was some what excusable....now the A&M loss was the only true ‘sour’ part of the season. One can argue though that bitter taste and bad loss was what started the foundation/motivation for us to make the run that we did in 2019.

Was at the Auburn game. What a game man. It really doesn’t get much better than that for an away game. I honestly love going to Auburn. It’s always a fun time.

I think the win over UCF was huge going into 2019. We had half the team sitting out that game.........Joe Burrow takes a huge shot........had every reason to fold up and instead goes nuclear on that knight arse.

Probably my favorite season that didn’t result in a National championship. Up there with 2001 and 2006.

Auburn was a great W and I really enjoyed the Georgia game because I called that arse kicking months in advance.

I agree.... 2018 was a great year!

My favorite game actually happened on the first day of that year (1/1/2018) in the Citrus Bowl! I can still see that great catch & run that Miles Boykin had (on an Ian Book pass) for a game winning touchdown for the Irish!! Notre Dame wins 21-17 !!

You could definitely feel the tide turning. I remember telling everyone that off-season that LSU was going to be very good in 2019. I had no fricking clue.

The Miami game at Jerryworld was an underrated game too. Everything we heard leading up to the game about “tha U is back” and in Arlington all their trash fans wearing the turnover chain crap. Jonathan Vilma even came on AFR and picked Miami because he had “inside info” that LSU’s players weren’t bought in to Orgeron and he wouldn’t be the coach much longer.
And then we came out and dominated.

The 2018 season had some great moments, but the 29-0 beat down we suffered against Alabama is hard to ignore.

I think it showed we had a pretty good qb but still not up to par play calling and the necessary changes were made.

But last season is the best. We owned college football and lived up to the expectations the fans had for this program moving us back into elite status.

What a liar. Nobody on here backed O like Ree did. And WE (including me) all hammered him. Don't try to look like you were on the O bandwagon from the beginning. Just not a good look.
