Hey, winning was pretty fun last night! Can they possibly stumble their way into a second straight and series win?
Like mentioned in the thread last night, despite the 6 run "outbreak" it was still very uninspiring effort by the offense. Aided by an absolutely putrid Giants defense. 7 total hits, 17 total LOB and Altuve and Tucker continue to be absolute black holes in the lineup, especially with RISP. Both hitting below .200 and with a sub .600 OPS.
Astros have seen Anderson before when he was with the Rockies and they've had some good success off of him. Yuli and Bregman each with a homer off of him. Like Webb last night, he's a guy that hasn't really gone too deep pitch count wise so far this season with his max amount of pitches so far being 66 which he did over 5 shutout innings his last time out against his former team. So another opportunity for the Astros to get into the Giants bullpen early.
Interested to see what Bielak has for us tonight in his second major league start. Hopefully lots of strikes and can go deep.
PS I'd like to thank Josh James for being so impossibly bad last night that Pressly had to be used in a game that was never in doubt.

The experiment has to be about over.

A leader of men. True community leadership is coming out of a 9 year thread starting hiatus to rally the wayward troops and steer us toward victory.

Altuve
I know he’s had slumps before but a couple of his strikeouts last night were flat out disturbing. He’s always had the propensity to flail at the low outside stuff but the pitches last night were way high, way outside and the swings themselves looked like something a 5 year old kid would do.

One of the comments made last night by the announcers was that his thoughts on the struggling offense was due to the fear of getting plunked in retaliation to the cheating scandal. Saying that timing is off due to this. I'm not really sure that's the entire case, but it may be a factor other than injuries.

Oh it's possible, in fact, it's probable

No expectation that Bielak will go through the Giants lineup more than twice. Just hope it’s quality stuff.

Alex Cintron's 20-game suspension isn't something you see every day.
In fact, it's the longest suspension for any on-field action in 15 years.
The last one of 20 G or longer: Kenny Rogers, who got 20 games for a physical confrontation with two cameramen in Texas in 2005.

I’m ready to make it two in a two.
