If you really think CFB is being canceled because of the virus, you are wrong

CFB is being canceled because the players are organizing. That stunt the Pac 12 pulled was being duplicated everywhere behind the scenes, even in the SEC.

Canceling the season is about keeping players from organizing together and putting together ridiculous demands (like 50-50 split of revenue, which Pac 12 players demanded). Dealing with one season being canceled is easier to do than dealing with the entire landscape of college athletics changing.

Players are trying to kill the golden goose, so the university presidents are saying “Hold my Chardonnay”?

Why would cancellation or delaying the season stop the players from organizing down the road?

The season is being canceled for political reasons. Canceling football will make people angry, and the Democrats that run our universities are using it to try and hurt Trump in the Nov elections.

LSU 2019 will be #ChampionsForever

I can live with it. Go out with a bang, rather than a SJW/BLM, CTE, nanny-state driven nosedive to mediocrity.

And are so economically stupid they can't figure this out. A 50-50 revenue split would close down all athletic departments.

They couldn't function on the facility side and all minor sports would immediately disappear. This "pay us" mantra will destroy college athletics and I am good with that. The minute LSU and others cowered to the Marxist mob and tried to appease them and play these games they opened themselves up to complete and total destruction.

It wouldn't. But COVID is being used as the reason for these demands.

CFB or MBB might have a shot at this.

Every other sport with collectively bargain themselves out of a scholarship and a sport.

I just wish they'd make up their minds whether we need to "pay the men who make the NCAA all the money" or "protect the kids from this virus."

These lunatics of the entertainment and sports industries believe entertainment and sports are more important to people than patriotism. For the sissy soy crowd they're right, but for everyone else they are about to get a rude awakening.

With out playing football this year it puts all of the players on the couch and not the field . This will not hurt the super stars or kids with rich parents as much as the rest of the players who will have a year with no coaching . Seems like it will cost all of the SRs their last year .

Dumb people are incredibly dangerous to themselves and others.

We're seeing that across the spectrum right now in America

No that’s not why. Don’t compare those pussy pac 12 players to the boys in the SEC. I really believe our players want to play. This is all about trying to get orange man out of the White House.

Let it die. It will be recreated in a better fashion, with players that have respect and do their job.

If the spring sports are any example, the NCAA will give an extra year of eligibility OR move fall sports to the spring.

Of course, that fricks spring sports but spring sports aren’t money outside of basketball, which wraps up in March / April.

Well, football is a dangerous, physically demanding (and, in reality, playing competitive football for any length of time rapidly ages the body, even if one remains injury-free) sport.

Oh - you mean the "virus"? Yeah, that's not a real risk in the real world to college football players.
