If College and/or NFL can play then the this whole charade needs to end. No reason for people to wear masks and stay 6' feet apart when these guys can trade sweat. There is too much money in TV contracts for these games to not be played.

I think I read where Washington State told their players it did. Not sure about the others.

Technically, it should everywhere... I mean the scholarships are provided in part from funds generated by football and if the season doesn't start because the players do not want to play, then they need to find out how they will be productive without college...

I love CFB but will gladly give it up to see some of these prima donnas have to work for a damn living...

CFB is being canceled because the players are organizing.

Retarded argument.

A shutdown would increase the likelihood of player organization. It’s not the reason.

They couldn't function on the facility side and all minor sports would immediately disappear

That would be hilarious to see in a schadenfreude sort of way. Players would say "wut? Why I gotta get less money so you can run the basketball program or the practice facilities "

I’ve already cancelled it. Don’t want or need political football.

Frick the $$$$. There is something called principle. Shut it all down for a generation. Athlete privilege must die.

Nah. I think colleges just want to keep the charade going that they actually care about players so the cash will keep flowing.

Canceling the season is about keeping players from organizing together and putting together ridiculous demands (like 50-50 split of revenue, which Pac 12 players demanded). Dealing with one season being canceled is easier to do than dealing with the entire landscape of college athletics changing.
I don't get people saying this.

YOu think the players are just going to forget about all of that and not make the same demands before next season?

Just pull the scholarships and kick them off the team if they organize. Play a bunch of walk ons if you have to. I guarantee there’s plenty of players who would love the opportunity to see the field

Newsflash. College players are stupid. They're demanding 50% of ZERO dollars if the games are cancelled.

You make it sound like it is ALL college players.

Most likely it is a couple dozen shyster lawyers running this scam.
