Rewatching parts on this National Championship game. Did Les ever give a reason as to why he didn’t put Lee in the game?

Because Jefferson could run the option and Lee couldn’t and everyone including Alabama’s cheerleaders knew how to stop it.

mettenberger should have come out with 4 WR and threw it all over the field

Still wouldn’t have mattered. Bama was going to beat us just using base d because Les believed he didn’t have to change a thing after 9-6.

You’re probably right...
Still would have liked for Lee to have had a chance. Crazy how the 2019 Season makes that game even more bearable.

The fact we had Mett on the bench is sickening

Certainly the want to revive a very quality game plan which had previously been successfully enjoyed was interrupted by the opportunity to finish 2nd in the competition in question.
The daunting puzzle you've presented this evening is indeed lost to the octo-annum we've spun. Let 'er rest. One would surely be able to enjoy a fulfilling tranquility in the wake of the very quality 2019 efforts of fine young men.

Bama was the better team that year. It’s okay

Still wish Miles would have put him in at halftime.
And watch him puss out and throw the ball up for grabs to avoid being hit, like when he disgraced himself in Tuscaloosa? No thanks. Mettenberger, maybe, but that would not have worked either.

We tore AJ apart in the first round and he lit us up in the natty.
Lee deserved at least a shot

this was a topic on the TV show reboot of Unsolved Mysteries. So no, I don’t think anyone will ever know.

Probably had something to do with the fact that Lee thought he was on Alabama in the first matchup that season.

Jarrett Lee was very intimidated by Alabama's Defense.

Double secret probation.
Had bad grades and got into a fist fight in the locker room before the game.

Because Lee almost singlehandedly lost the first GOTC, with 2 back to back ints.
Lee had 4 tds and 7 ints lifetime against Bama.
