a breathing tube coming off of it that vents out the side of the helmet. In through the nose, out through the mouth. IIf they musht wear masks, at least let these guys have some oxygen, Ed.

It's funny a lot of you think the staff is just throwing these at the players and saying "deal with it".

I mean They’re not great but they’re still open, they will get oxygen from outside the helmet.

They aren’t duct tapping a back in their heads like a hit man.

When you’re huffing, breathing through the nose is difficult.

Also, how big of a plenum and tube could you have with a mouthpiece? Bound to be restricted flow.

They should just add time to the play clock in between snaps, give players chance to catch breath, just a extra 10 seconds are so, but that would eliminate hurry up offenses and defenses would have advantages

How do some of you survive every day being so dumb? The helmets have ventilation in them. They are not enclosing their heads in the helmets. Do I agree with the face shields? No. Are the face shields uncomfortable for the players? Absolutely but they aren’t going to put the players in danger of CO2 poisoning.

Dude, Chris Blair interviewed the Equipment Director, Greg Stringfellow this past Monday. They discussed the face shields and he confirmed that some players had difficulty breathing while others did not. They're making adjustments and have 7 weeks to figure out and get used to whichever approach they take.

So bottom line is chill with your amateur opinions and let the pros and players find what will keep them safe and at top performance.

Watch out for the cramping now on field. I suspect they’ll monitor their 02 levels. Can they have 02 on the sidelines?

Wearing masks as a matter of is unhealthful. No question about it.

When do they put them on? Must they wear them the entire game even if they’re not playing? Is there enough room for them to social distance on the side line? What about halftime in the locker room? Will they keep their helmets on? Or put masks on and social distance? Is there enough room for that in the locker room? Especially visiting team locker rooms which are considerably smaller. If not then what’s the point of the stupid face shield? fogging up and possibly costing the game!
