So it was Trump's mismanagement that caused the second wave in Europe?
Well... that will be how CNN tries to spin it.

It’s a virus
the mortality rate has gone down and will keep going down while asymptomatic cases go up since the virus needs a host to survive

So a continent will 37 times the population of Florida, producing only 50% more cases than Florida is roaring back?

I honestly can't find a total Europe daily new tests. Deaths have only been 2x Florida, but lagging indicators lag. I live in Florida, for disclosure. I'm not overly alarmed by our situation here, right now. My 67 year old mom teaches in an ER.

Most of the Western world (Sweden aside) is panicking about numbers that even the most liberal US locations would laugh off.
I posted in the main thread about Melbourne Australia going back into full lockdown (with about 1/4th of the cases per capita as Louisiana) and Ireland delaying the decision to re-open pubs (less than 25 cases per day since May).

Crazy.
NYC has 1 death/day or so.
Many areas in the US are down 90-98% from peak numbers.
At what point do we acknowledge herd status is being approached, and we just gotta go back to normal?
I joke that zero deaths for a week is the "goalpost".
NOLA is at roughly 1 death/day?
They are pushing herd status.
Rest of state going towards that level and within an a month or 2 should be there.

I’m ready to move on from this endless bloodletting of our livelihoods. This was past the point of absurdity months ago and I don’t think a word really exists to describe where we are now except for maybe suicidal.
The business of America is business, and we need to get back to business.
If a business says I have to wear a mask, I will comply without fussing about it. I will wash my hands and take the precautions I feel I need to, but we can't take the country down the tubes because of a virus.
