I like that idea. Make them actually teach as they would if the kids were in class. Not just throw together a couple assignments and put them online then down a couple Xanax and go to mimosas with the girls.

Glad you are the first to bring this topic up

This teacher is not in a teachers union. I hate them. They make us all look bad.

How much of a loser do you have to be to complain about someone posting a topic that’s already been covered on a message board? I feel sorry for you kids

That’s nice and all. So is my wife and so does she.
But there is still a large segment of teachers out there that don’t. Which is infuriating for parents and taxpayers with sense
It’s just as infuriating to those of us who want to get back. I completely understand the created perception. If I still had kids in school, I’d be livid, too.

If you tell your HR that you have 103 fever you are treated like a leper for a minimum of two weeks. Teachers aren’t special. So what is the plan when they start calling in? There lies the problem.

I’m sick to death of these stupid arse posts about the unnecessary hate for teachers by people who know NOTHING about what a teacher’s day, career, and classroom entail.
I had many wonderful and hard working teachers who never received the pay or respect they deserve, and it still continues today.
You probably haven’t been in a classroom in over a decade when you were a pain in the arse, rude student.
Why don’t you substitute for a day to better understand what you know nothing about? Why don’t you give up your nights and weekends to create lesson plans, grade assignments, do inservice, curriculum meetings, and continuing education classes, and dealing with unappreciative jackasses?

I would not mind doing that at all, and I don’t think that it’s an unreasonable request.

Are you stupid?
That’s what just about every district did in the spring and what “virtual” school is. Despite this having already been done, it’s not very effective and I do believe if families want their kids in school, schools should be open and teachers should teach in person.
I find it comical that you started this thread and are clearly ignorant about the situation.

No that’s not what they have been doing. Teachers were not going to class and conducting full lesson plans on zoom. Quit lying you piece of shite

George I think that's what is going to end up happening if schools are shut down again

My wife is a teacher.
My mother is a teacher.
But I don’t think this post is going to go how you expect it.
