Have they? Canada has 8852 deaths out of 110,000 cases. The US has 142,000 deaths out of 3.78M cases. Who has the higher death rate? Simple percents will tell you. The US has a very slightly higher positive case rate, but we've tested waaaaaaay more of a percentage of our population than Canada. Canada also has been in a waaaaaaay more restrictive lockdown. We've created debt here also, but your boy Trudeau is about to deficit spend out the wazoo. You must watch Canada's version of CNN.

The United States currently has a per capita death rate of 432.9 per million compared to Canada's 235.5 per million.

Total cases per capita the US is at 11,524 per million while Canada 2926 per million The US is currently surging in COVID cases so the numbers will be worse tomorrow and even worse the next day.

Not sure how anyone but an utter moron would think the United States is doing better.

Imagine caring about cases while the deaths are plummeting

We have ten times the population of Canada. Covid-19 death rate rankings 10. Canada 7.99% 37. USA 3.88%. Good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight. Enjoy your draconian lockdown Canuck.

At your current rate of infection (and DrAmAtIcAllY lower death rate) you’re going to be killing approximately a 9/11 per day pretty quick but I’m sure your country will take solace in having a lower rate of deaths per infection.

Meanwhile, our lockdown is over now so I’m going to go enjoy going to the rest of summer and the only Corona I have to worry about comes with a lime.

The Blue Jay players have requested that they be allowed to play in a major league ballpark. The organization, is willing to accommodate their request.

Arlington TX has a currently unused field (slightly modified for the now-defunct XFL but could be changed back). All they need to do now is bring back Jose Bautista to make things interesting

Pittsburgh Blue Jays?
LINK

When is the last time MLB teams shared a stadium? I think the Mets and Yankees shared Shea in the mid-70's while they redid Yankee Stadium. I know the Dodgers and Angels shared Dodger Stadium in the early 60's. In fact, I think the Angels actually played the first game there. The Phillies and A's shared Shibe Park(Connie Mack Stadium) in the 50's. Anymore I'm missing?

ETA: the Angels did not play the first game at Dodger Stadium, but Bo Belinsky of the Angels pitched the first no hitter there in May of 1962

It’s already been announced that it can not be changed back to a baseball field when the talks of hub cities was talked about.

Once again, you have no clue about the franchise you claim to support.

That was my 1st thought. Though, it may make more logistical sense to keep them close to the east coast. Is Turner Field still standing?

Besides a few decent season the Blue Jays haven’t played baseball in years.

So the city and province gave them permission, yet the national government said no? My question is will the government want their tax monies as well?

It was converted to football for Georgia State.

Ahh. For some reason I thought that was the Georgia Dome they bought and moved into. It looks like they could maybe squeeze a baseball field in there. May have to move home plate back a bit from where it was and adjust the bases/foul lines/poles. It’d only be for 3-4 fall Saturdays at most that they may have a scheduling issue. If half of those wind up being on the road, you’re only talking about 1 or 2 Saturdays.

I have no idea if this is truly feasible, but I doubt there are many MLB parks just sitting around unused, so they would have to get creative.

The only one I can think of is also in Canada.

Unless RFK can be switched back to baseball in a hurry.

All the other convertible stadiums have been torn down I think... except for in Oakland which is still in use.
