Some neighbors replied that they did not want to bring this so close to their homes but Kyle and Jessica Harrison (she also lived in Magnolia Woods) don’t seem to care.
I can try to post the whole discussion on the march but I don’t know if that is allowed?

The first graduation class at Trafton was 1984. The HS opened a year prior ( 82/83 school year) but there was no senior class that year.

Who is gonna be policing this shitshow?? This Kyle queef?

I don't believe for one second that they coordinated this with folks from the neighborhood. they got a permit from the city and that was likely it.

frick SWB for allowing this shite. these frickers Arte doing nothing more than coming into our neighborhood to pick a fight and beg for a reaction so they can get some "good" social media footage.

did that stupid bitch not learn anything from the couple in St. Louis, MO? there was nothing "peaceful" about that.

This is a deliberate attempt to incite violence under the guise of peace and SWB is fully aware and complicit.

Hopefully there is some police presence. There was with the protest off Highland last month. I agree...this has the potential to be a shite show but I bet it just its just turns out to be a dozen white folks holding signs for a couple hours on the Parkway.

Kenilworth in the 80s- 90s was an awesome area to grow up in. Close to LSU, with lots to do. Once some of the homes started being sold bc parents passing on many turned into college rent houses it kinda went down hill a little.

Would love for the residents to start mowing, edging, blowing off yards between the hours from 9-11am.

The most effective counter protest would be a dog parade.

ETA: Or a pop-up job fair. That will cut across all ethnicity and really narrow the focus on what they all have in common.

I understand the positive intent on something like this but I sure as hell would not organize and put this in someone else's neighborhood. I'd put it in my own and be proud of it. If something bad happens it's on Kyle. That's reality.

Kenilworth has a lot of POC residents, mostly Chinese and Indians, some blacks.

Bobby Jindal grew up there.

I don't know demographics of this area anymore, but why protest here? And how long before some start blocking rights of others to pass or drive freely without repercussions most would face?

The reason for protesting in Kenilworth is to be confrontational and make people uncomfortable in their alleged support for alleged systematic racism.

The best thing to do is to ignore these protesters. They have a right to protest anywhere that they want, and they should be able to do that in a peaceful and non-disruptive manner. Of course if the protest is not peaceful or somehow becomes disruptive, BRPD should be there to handle it. I suspect that the protesters just want to puff up their chests and wallow in the good feeling that they went into a white neighborhood and confronted the residents and their alleged racism. No harm, no foul.

As a child of the original Kenilworth homeowners I can vouch for this.
