If one can get covid twice, vaccine is futile

I thought Clay Travis made an interesting point regarding this yesterday. He made the point that a lot of the same people that are advocating for no sports or return to normalcy, are the same ones saying that people can get the virus more than once(I think because they just want to say everything to make covid seem as bad and dangerous as possible). But if this is true and people don’t develop immunity after getting covid, then that means a vaccine will never work. So unless they plan on staying locked down and quarantined forever, we may as well go ahead and get back to normal. Because either we will eventually get to the point of herd immunity, or if we don’t build immunity after having it, then there is no point in taking measures to hold off until a vaccine is developed because it wouldn’t work anyway. So with this in mind, what is the case for keeping everything locked down?

Where is there legitimate evidence that people are contracting it twice and that it's not just biological residue?

South Korea's Center for Disease Control has reassuring news about people with COVID-19 who test positive for the coronavirus weeks after their symptoms have resolved.
Health officials there studied 285 patients who tested negative for the virus after recovering, but weeks later tested positive again. The question — in this and similar situations — is whether a positive test in this circumstance means that these people can still spread the virus.
To find out, the scientists followed up with nearly 800 of those people's personal contacts, such as family members. They found no evidence that they had contracted the virus from the people who had a fresh positive result. The scientists also tried to grow the virus in secretions from these patients. They could not.

People are testing positive for ridiculous amounts of time. 2 months in some cases. Could be that the re-infection positive is just the same infection but not live anymore.

I think the “you can get covid twice”, points out how poor the accuracy of testing is.

There’s no real evidence anywhere in the world that people can get it twice. There a a handful of anecdotes, but nothing shown in wide-ranging studies. That said, a vaccine can provide somebody far more antibodies than they would have if they just contracted the virus, making them less likely to contact it. So an annual vaccine, like the flu vaccine is, could provide enough antibodies on a year to year basis.

One can’t! The cases that seem to be double infections are almost certainly false positives on the first sickness (probably flu).

"Well we think that actually second cases of COVID are biologically possible, but they must be wonderfully rare," said Dr. William Schaffner, Vanderbilt infectious disease specialist.
there are cases where people tested positive in March and are now testing positive again 4 months later....
