One group of students on Monday and Tuesday. Different group of students on Wednesday and Thursday on site. Everyone remote on Friday.
The fix is in.
Let’s tank this motherfricking economy.

So in other words they don't actually teach them anything if 40% of the schedule goes poof! with no effect on the learn. They may be longer days but that is worse because kids don't have the attention span.

This is a perfect example of why covid is purely political and science is hardly involved in these decisions.
What is the positive case rate, hospitalizations, and death rate in Missouri?
They are fricking over minority communities and single moms. Parents in general.

Our homeschool group and every other one locally that I know of is EXPLODING with new members. I say let the government schools keep screwing around and then they'll lose funding when enrollment drops. The big losers here is the teachers union.

Kids these days have it made. I would have killed for a schedule like that when I was in school
Also why all remote on Friday?
Those lazy arse teachers just want Friday’s off

Same schedule for the public schools here in Hawaii and most tourism related jobs closed until 1 September at earliest

Depends on how the classes are divided.
I’d have been unhappy if I wasn’t with any of my friends due to the split.
I’d have been extremely upset if several notable assholes in my class, including one later convicted of murder, were in my split group.

Hell, you can join a Lutheran church and send your kid to private elementary school for $3k- $4k. Would be cheaper than 3 day/wk daycare.

That science that covid doesn’t show up on certain days is about as solid as the science behind multiple genders.

How does this stop the spread?

Actually, we reported 16 deaths. I believe only one was from yesterday.

In theory, you have 50% of the kids onsite on a day. So you’re limiting your exposure.
In reality, I don’t imagine it changes much. You’re still going to be in a classroom with 14 or so other kids. That’s where a kid is going to catch it.

So, is there a 20% drop in the teacher's pay since they won't be working on Fridays? I doubt very much the kids will be studiously sitting at the computer on Fridays, too.
Kids are already pushed through who can barely read, write and do any math. Going to school 2 days a week is going to help?
