I thought the problems were just in the south and with Republican Governors. That narrative is gone.

I agree, I’m just pointing out their so called “reasoning”
Problem with playing that game, it’s too easy to point out the moving of goal post and not about Covid.
It’s one thing to have a wrecked economy bc of failed legislation/policies and another of States doing lock downs...that aren’t needed

This is exactly it. Its what my liberal friends in Nola scream day after day. How Trump has wrecked the economy, yet they sit on their asses and collect unemployment. These people are sick.

They should’ve mandated masks.

Economy shut down.
Things reopen. Economy does well.
Protesting starts. COVID takes a backseat.
Protesting winds down.
Back to COVID.
Back to shutdown..
Lol. WTF

They are truly insane, lol.... drag it out so they can shut down again right around the election...

Holy crap. This again. I’m thinking about starting a go fund me to get the hell out of here. This is all to get Trump. Nothing more and nothing less and the governor couldn’t give a damn about us and how we are impacted. I’d say this is unbelievable but the dems (Commies) out here are never ever satisfied until they have complete and total power and authority over all aspects of your life. Take heed America, this is coming your way with all of the libs leaving this state and destroying yours. You have to vote and you have to get yourself armed. This just pisses me off to no end..

More jobless? Who cares. Gotta get orange man.
I’m not sure about how much Cali gives for normal unemployment, but when that extra 600 boost ends at the end of the month, those people will be totally screwed if they don’t open back up.

This is a ploy to pressure Congress for stimulus extensions past July 31st. Guaranteed.

June’s jobs report was an amazingly positive bounce back, in addition to the great one from May.
This shut down is not coincidence.
For a “pandemic” with an actual death rate of less than 1%.
They truly do not give 2 fricks about working class Americans.
quote:
This news comes on top of May’s extraordinary jobs report, which was revised upwards, by the way, to 2.7 million jobs; it was 2.5. That was last month, and that was a record setter, but it actually got a little bit better. We revised it, and it was revised upward to 2.7 million jobs for a combined total of 7.5 million jobs created in the last two months. And that’s a record by many millions of jobs. So it’s 7.5 million jobs created in the last two months alone.
This shut down is not coincidence.

That is from yesterday. Haven't reported any numbers from today.

The intentional ruining of our economy is absolutely inexcusable. I had a feeling that they’d pull something like this when the narrative shifted back to the red states seeing an increase and here we are. This is so damned frustrating. We have a business and crap like this does impact us.

Honestly, would anyone miss California if it was gone?

Yep. Market tanked when the news hit.

In all honesty, if you got rid of The LA and Bay Area metropolitan areas you’d find the state to be red. But those two hellholes control the state and make the rest of us suffer. It’s beyond absurd. It’s akin to Portland controlling all of Oregon or a Seattle controlling all of Washington. The Bay and LA know nothing of life in the Valley and they have no interest in learning.
