I wore a mask to a doctor's appointment the other day,

So did I. Made me put it on when I got there. Wore it in waiting room, while nurse was doing the whole vitals check, asking why I was there, etc.
When doctor came in he said "unless you just want to wear that, you can take it off. We aren't gonna get each other sick."

What the hell have people been doing to themselves that they can't breath through a thin mask? I find masks annoying because it makes my beard itch, but it hasn't affected my breathing.

I wore one to get my haircut last week (2nd time since things reopened). You have to wear it to enter, clean your hands with sanitizer upon entering then take it off when you sit down for your haircut. Put it back on to leave.

I don’t get it either. I mean....yeah it’s really uncomfortable at first....but you really do get used to it. At least...enough to tolerate it until you can take it off.

No one likes wearing them trust me. We all hate wearing them. But if medical staff can wear them for several hours at a time...you can wear it for an hour while you grocery shop. Promise you it isn’t gonna kill you. I have a coworker with mild asthma and sinus issues that worked for 20 years in the OR as a nurse before he switched to infection control .....he wears a mask for 8 hours a day at work just like I do....and he is fine.

IF JBE wants to pay me to wear a mask when going to a grocery store, then fine. If not, he can go frick himself.

Bully for you. I hope someone erects another billboard in honor of all the healthcare workers "risking their lives" to fight COVID. What a crock.

I'm no doctor, but that sounds like a way bigger health risk than MAYBE catching COVID bc you didn't wear a mask...this is a clown show at this point.

Some will die and no politician will take any responsibility for it.

It's inhumane to expect anyone to wear a mask in this heat .

More kids are likely going to die from dehydration, heat strokes, etc. than they are from the coronavirus. Masks make things worse from them. This whole thing is a mother fricking joke and it's embarrassing they're making them, and everyone else for that matter, have to wear them in public.

Notice she never did post this alleged HS posting of this “requirement”(meaning the students have to wear masks at all times outside while exercising).

If HS is requiring this then it on their own accord. The State Dept. of Health and State Dept. of Education guidelines as well as the recommendations by the LHSAA clearly direct schools to make students wear masks when entering and existing facilities and while they are not engaged in physical activities. However, athletes should remove their masks while engaged in an activity (whether its inside or outside).

My HS football player is wearing a mask, and they are working outdoors, however, during an exercise, they are not required to wear the mask, only in between.

It's only 35.0% as effective at preventing covid spread as protesting, but it's better than nothing.
