Yes. I would also let him drive to the game where he is just as likely to die.

That has Tom be his or her decision. I’ll support the decision either way ..... as long as they agree :-)

No my point is “ Quit being a pussy”! This virus is a joke. It is like having a chest cold for two weeks . My whole family has had it. My 11 year old ran a fever for two weeks and that’s it! No other symptoms! He felt fine. It’s ridiculous that this country has locked down over this BS, and It’s ridiculous that you would even ask this question . That lets me know that you are on your knees in front of your tv and waiting for CNN to tell you what to do next. Pathetic!!
You are a dumb, fricking idiot if you think what happened to your family is how it is for everyone. Blind and naive are not good attributes for getting through life.

You’re a goddamned pussy if you wouldn’t. Grow the frick up nancy. They’re more likely to die in a wreck on the team bus than they are from CV19

You must be blind to statistics and the fact that this isn’t a risk at all to college aged people.

What does what i said have to do with that? I'm only saying just because it didn't hurt his family doesn't mean it won't anyone else. And guess what, it has hurt others.

For the record, i hope they play.

People get hurt all the time. Comparatively this virus doesn’t hurt many people. Definitely not enough to stop the entire world in its tracks that’s for damn sure.

I don't hang around the cafeteria at LSU, but I would be SHOCKED if guys like Shelvin, who have a lot of weight to lose, aren't eating healthy under LSU supervision. Your right about the smaller schools, who have a lot of players on their lines that have a HUGE gut hanging over their pants, and absolutely can't move. That's why I said BIG TIME schools have their players in better shape, and therefore have less risk.

He's a college kid. When his coaches aren't in his face, he eats like he wants to. Same as every other player on the team. If their coaches or nutritionists controlled their every calorie, none of them would drink, either. But most of them do. Again, they are college kids. They don't follow the recommendations.

The fact that he has "a lot of weight to lose" puts him at risk. He's lost 40 lbs, and he still weighs 340 lbs. That alone puts him in the "highly vulnerable" group. And you're kidding yourself if you don't think he has high cholesterol, blood pressure, etc, to go along with it. You don't weigh 375 lbs as a teen without long-term health consequences.

Fatass linemen at "BIG TIME schools" aren't any less fatass than fatasses who don't play college sports at all. And the NCAA can't make a rule that says, "Fatass linemen at big schools are okay, but fatass linemen at smaller schools aren't." If you're 6'3", 340 lbs, it doesn't matter where you go to school or how much you work out. You're morbidly obese, either way, which puts you at high risk.

So answer the question...What would you say to Shelvin about playing this season, if he were your son? People keep "yeah but"-ing, but no one will answer the question.

Then fatties and old people need to stay home, we can't destroy the nation over a cold that has a 99.999% survival rate for healthy people.

Yes, I actually think he'd be in a more controlled environment than he would be if he didn't have football. I've seen the protocols LSU has set down and honestly I'd rather have him in that environment than sneaking off to meet friends with basically no rules or sense of protocol.

Plus, I think like the flu most of us are going to get this eventually and if he gets it in the team environment they have medical personnel readily available at the drop of a hat.
