Interesting turn of events
“J.K. Rowling has joined around 150 authors and academics in denouncing the so-called “cancel culture,” which refers to the online shaming of individuals who have done or said something that angry social media users consider objectionable or offensive.
The world-famous author of the “Harry Potter” series signed an open letter warning of an “intolerant climate” for free speech. The letter was published by Harper’s Magazine on Tuesday.
Other signatories include Russian chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov, cognitive scientist Noam Chomsky, and novelist Salman Rushdie.“

Its funny to me how these Harry Potter fan sites are "distancing themselves" from her. Like they are somehow not still making her a shite ton of money. 
She randomly came out and said "Dumbledore is gay" with no warning after not giving any hints in the books. I wonder what the fans would do if she came out again and said "there are no trans people in the wizarding world."

One of the signees wants out. I guess she still wants to cancel some of the signees

Cancel culture can’t be stopped at the source, because any one of the miserable SJWs can initiate an attack and it’s impossible to stop that.
If it’s going to be stopped, employers have to start ignoring the negative publicity put on their employees. If the firings stop, eventually the initiators will understand that they have no power over others, and the problem is solved.
