One of the issues that would come up on forums involved the entire barrel extension coming loose when trying to remove muzzle devices.
Other things I can recall reading/seeing photos of involved gas keys not being staked properly (or not staked at all), extractors breaking, and sometimes the bolt itself breaking. Like I said, maybe they’ve sorted such issues out. I can’t find any info on their site pertaining to what they’re bolts are made.

Considering the times we're in right now, people "in the know" need to differentiate between those levels, be it for rifles, handguns etc. Like I said, I'm not looking for an Ed Brown or Nighthawk version of the AR. Totally fine with an Armscor or Tisas level... meets spec, runs.

I am super pleased with this purchase. Haven't shot it yet but it's a damn fine gun for the budget. Just finished adding my initial accessories to it.
Sig Romeo MSR Red Dot.
Palmetto State Armory 3.5lb flat-faced match-grade trigger.
FAB Defense back-up sights - which co-witness thru the Romeo perfectly! The built-in caps on the Romeo have clear lenses so you don't have to flip them up in order to co-witness.
It DID come with a mag, although a rep I called at Primary Arms said it wouldn't. It's a painted aluminum mag. I purchased some Pmags though and that's what's in the pic.

I bought the same rifle and Sig Romeo right around June 24/25, I think it took 13 days to come in

I bought the same setup, and yes it took right at 13 days for the rifle.

Palmetto State Armory still has completed rifles; that's actually where I got mine, I didn't look close enough at the gun in the post I quoted, looks like he just got a trigger there

quote:CootKilla's post goes to a rifle in stock, for $525. That's actually the one I now have coming in, as I didn't grab one of the $499 rifles (I DID get one for $475 from another store).

I ran into a hassle trying to order this from Primary, as I detailed above. What I had to do (and what you might need to, also)-
set up an account.
put the gun on your wishlist.
look at your wishlist.
move gun from wishlist to cart.
check out.

Thanks ... I'll have to look into that.

Got a call today, I will pick it up Monday when the store opens (hopefully- I will fill out the 4473 at least).

I was surprised when I went to my local to get ammo and he had 6 lowers hanging up.

Filled out my 4473 today, got delayed. Doesn't surprise me, I get delayed about half the time, during normal times. I figure the current situation is a giant clusterfrick right now.
At least I have it going to a place that honors the 3 business day deadline. I'm off Friday, will pick it up then.

I got an email today saying my gun has shipped. I ordered it on July 31.

Shot mine for the first time yesterday. It took me about 5 mags to get it to cycle steel case without issues. However it was brand new. I had to lube it up and get it quite "wet". Steel case 223 ammo is loaded for less pressure so many AR's have issues with it. May look into getting a lighter buffer recoil spring also.
Once I got it going I ran 10 more mags through it without a single issue.
The Sig Romeo was easy to sight in and held zero thru 450 rounds with no issues.
Overall I'm extremely happy with the purchase. Time will tell how the budget aspect of the rifle holds up.
I have some brass 556 coming in soon and will report back with how that cycles.
