I kept seeing this tread still on page one and had no idea they were restocking every so often. Thank you guys for keeping us updated.

Radical is making a run at becoming the official AR of Covid 2020.

I've read that they make different chamberings and stuff; but for right now, if it were me, I'd shut everything else down and start churning out the basic standard length 223/556 rifle, as many as I could. And just pound the market with this price. No matter how many you make, they will sell out daily.

They're selling out and restocking almost daily, at least for the past week or so since this thread has been around. Hell, a couple days ago it was available in the morning, sold out by noon then available again in the afternoon then sold out again in the evening...

I'd say they're pumping these out as fast as they can.

All the while, a $599 similar version of same rifle, called an RF-15, has been in stock all week(edited to say I just went and checked the site and it's now sold out as is the 499 gun).

Let's see what tomorrow brings. All I know is I got my order in today!

I have several gun shops and pawn shops in my area that do FFL. You should have plenty in Alexandria, I would think. Someone posted a link a couple weeks back that you can search FFLs by city/zip code.

Another slight hijack, but anyone have any recs on decently priced red dots? Nothing fancy, just solid. Thanks

Ha, I went ahead and ordered that exact one from PSA 5 minutes before you posted based on a rec from my brother in law. Glad someone on here recommended it as well

Most ARs are 1:7 or 1:8.

Most are 1:7 or 1:9, 1:8 is a rather recent option. If you don't plan on shooting anything heavier or longer than M855, then a 1:9 twist is the better option of the three unless you are going SBR or pistol. Out of my 20" 1:9 RRA barrel I have no issues up to 75gr Hornady OTM's. The USMC wanted 1:9 twist when the M16A2 was under going evals but the Army wanted to be able run M856 tracers. That's why 1:7 twist was adopted, one of the instances where mil-spec means not the best choice was made.

Slightly off-topic, but what's the cheapest you can build a comparable rifle for, RIGHT NOW? And for purposes of discussion, I'm talking about:

in stock today, not waiting for sales.
I own only: back-up sights, and extra magazines.
Specifically 223/556.

The deal I bought, it was $520 in total, including shipping, taxes, and FFL transfer. I can transfer for $20, so figure that as straight $500.
I see the Primary Arms deal, when in stock, is $10 shipped, so $499 makes it $510 for the gun, $530 after FFL.

If you guys have a parts-list set of links that can beat that, or a better price on a complete rifle, can you post it here? Thanks

you'd be better off snagging one of these radical firearms rifles than building right now i'm afraid.

Check my post history.

You can do a 7.62x39 for under 500.

Just did mine. Shoots awesome.

Under $500 was with the enhanced firing pin I put in for the steel casing.

Ammo cheap as shite. 4.99 a box. Just bought another 400 rounds.
